I was Rotary Youth Exchange Student and went to Belo Horizonte, Brasil in 1989. Saying it affected me is an understatement. My outlook on life, ambition, desire and personality were all changed. It was an incredible year and I am still in close contact with my Brasilian family.

I attended UNLV as an honors student on scholarships. I was also a professional brewer for a short time before deciding I do not like working for others.

I relocated to Colorado. After spending time as a lender, I now own a real estate firm. I was invited to speak at the Northglenn/Thornton Rotary Club about my experiences in Brasil in fall of 1998. They immediatley insisted I join and within a few weeks I was in contact with the RYE program in District 5450 and have been a member since.

I served as the provisional and charter president and am one of the founding members of the Rotary Club of Denver Metro North. I have hosted 3 students and housed a handful when they have returned to visit Colorado.

I have a wonderful son, Alexander.
