Students!!Monthly reports, address updates, travel forms...yes, it is all required. It always has been. Consider yourself fortunate as when most of the committee members were exchange students, they had to hand write all these things and it took forever! Now, you can do them quickly and easily with a computer at our website, use the links to the right.

Rocky Mountain Rotary Youth Exchange Students Page!Inbounders are students who came to Colorado from a foreign country, outbounders are students from Colorado who go to a foreign country.
Being a RMRYE student can be an incredibly rewarding experience. Outbound students will find the committe works hard to place them in a country where they will have the experience of a lifetime, be safe, receive a unique education and have a lot of fun. The country contacts are always available to assist with difficult situations and also love hearing about the great experiences students are having. Register for the LTEP program to get the process started! Click HERE! Inbound students are also ensured as great an experience as possible and will fnd they are in mroe regular contact with their country contact in Colorado. Annual mandatory events are the orientation in September, the winter retreat in January/February and the District Conference in April/May. Inbounders must complete an address update each time they move for RMRYE to remain in compliance with Dept of State regulations and CSIET accredidation. Prior to travel, inbound students are required to complete and submit the travel permission form. In most instances, the original form is to be sent to the country contact. Failure to provide this form could result in visa termination which will also result in program temination (in other words-if you travel without providing this form, you will be sent home early!). All students are requested to complete a monthly report at the start of each month, reporting on the month prior. This is an easy, on line form that goes to committee members only. A photo album is provided for students to upload their photos. It does require registration, is free, has no advertising and is easy to use. Your friends and family can even use the 'cart' feature to order photos from third party companies to be printed and mailed to them for the highest possible quality. An email system is also provided to all RMRYE students and volunteers. This email will remain active as long as you are using it, so even after your exchange, you can maintain it. The district committee, your country contact, other students and clubs will use this address to communicate with you. You will likely miss exciting, monthly events like the ice cream social or Elich Gardens day if you do not regularly check your email. Finally, students should download the Thought Chart and carefully read it. Then, read it again a few months later. This was put together by a student many years ago on paper and then redesigned on a computer for you to examine easily. It will make you think, it may make you laugh or cry. Students returning to Colorado are automatically members of Rotex. While a small group and not very active, we do our best to maintain a Rotex club in District 5450. Please contact us if you are interested in participating.
